She sees a light..

The little princess, at the age of 10, drew a picture of a huge castle, with her most beloved prince charming, holding her close, protecting her from every danger, loving every inch, every flaw. Life was perfect. Or so she dreamt. At a tender age, she aspired for a future, perfect and beautiful.

Her dreams came true as she found a home in between his arms. The castle the little princess wanted to build was complete with a prince. All that she had ever wanted. All that she had ever dreamt off. Was standing in front of her as she captured his face with her hands. They say that slow water runs deep and both of them were swimming in each other’s eyes. She became a different person when she was with him. She stole his t shirt and kissed him in front of guys who looked at her admiringly. She wanted to dance with him in the rain and wanted to sit in a park drinking coke with him and make him laugh so hard that he snorted the coke through his nose. She cared for him so much that she could tell that something was wrong just by looking at him. She wrapped her arms around him to make him feel safe. She payed attention when he talked about the things he loved, even if she didn’t love them herself. She saw her future with him. He was her home.

At the end of teenage, she wanted to be dead. She tried and tried and tried with everything she had to not get broken again but the odds were never in her favour and the person who was everything for her ended up being the one who broke her and shattered her heart into a million pieces, all fractals sharp and broken. How could she breathe, when the person who gave her a reason to live, was the one who pushed her to the edge, where she felt dying was a better option than giving it another try? Wherever she went, whatever she saw, no matter what she did, she was always reminded of him. How could she ever stay in the same room, her very own room, where once she used to share every single space with him? How could she wear the same clothes, which once got the sweetest, most romantic compliments from him? How could she ever skim the same streets, where once she spend time hiding in hide and seek, racing for fun, running from dogs, clicking pictures and whatnot with him? How could she ever sit in any park where she used to have miniature picnic dates and sit comfortably wrapped into each other’s arms, holding hands together every single day? Where should she go? What should she wear? What music should she listen to? In which part of which street or park or club or any godforsaken place in this entire god damn world should she ever hide herself where she is not reminded of him? She feels sick and suffocated. A victim of claustrophobia caused by darkness and darkness alone. Until one day, she thinks she sees a little light, which might make the darkness go away. And so, helpless and desperate for some way or any way out, she walks towards the light..

But is the light really the solution?

I Call Shenanigans.

Unpopular opinion: Cheating on your partner is never an impulsive, in-the-moment decision..

There are so many different opinions about what exactly falls into the category of cheating and what doesn’t. But in my opinion, all these are excuses made to cover up a deed done in a conscious state of mind and people try to find loopholes in the entire charade to try and pull off their image as not being the bad guy here. Some might argue that people might be intoxicated which weakened their judgement and they didn’t know what they were doing. But I disagree with this. Alcohol only changes your actions, not your intentions.

Alcohol only changes your behaviour, not your morals.

Alcohol will only make a person cheat if they’ve considered doing it sober. A person who has no intention of cheating and are fully and completely invested in their partner will never, intoxicated or not, look at anyone else apart from your partner. The initial audacity to be unfaithful in the first place only takes place when you are either not satisfied with your current relationship and are losing interest in your partner now or you ever never really that interested in them from the beginning.

On average, people who don’t even want to do drugs and are initially forced but end up getting addicted to it about 21 days to get addicted to them. So if a person has willingly committed to being in a relationship to a person and stayed together happily for even one month, are bound to grow habitual to that person and should take at least half the time you spent dating each other, to get over a person. So people who enter into new relationship say, 5 days after their breakup and claim to have come in contact with their new partner after their last breakup, are aware subconsciously that they are done with their old relationship.

If a person starts dating someone new immediately after their old breakup, that means the other person was already there in their lives before the breakup.

Impulsive behaviour is largely and majorly driven by thoughts forming in your subconscious. Every decision taken as an impulsive decision is actually taken after at least 30 seconds of contemplation and decision making. In those thirty seconds, you decide whether you want to kiss this other person even though you have a partner already waiting for you at home. I have heard many people who struggle with fidelity talk about how venturing down that road, even just once, can make the urge to cheat again feel like a strong impulse rather than a choice. However, for anyone who’s ever been cheated on, it’s almost unfathomable that a partner’s decision to cheat is anything other than a choice.

That said, some people who find themselves frequently tempted to cheat and follow through with it might not be doing it with the pointed purpose of hurting you or destroying your relationship, but rather to feed their own sense of desirability and self-esteem. Getting to the honest cause of someone’s behavior without immediately demonizing them is an important step in understanding why they do what they do. Ultimately, this understanding can help facilitate change.

Needless to say, if your partner has cheated on you and it’s harmed your relationship to the point that you are unable to let it go, then this is totally understandable. On the other hand, if both the partners are willing to work towards making a sincere change and work out their differences then i don’t see why they can’t get back to the way they were or maybe even transform into a better couple and make each other more satisfied.

Full, faithful relationships are only possible when both people are willing to do the work.

Even after that positive note being stated, I would just like to add that if a person is sure that the other has been unfaithful but the partner denies it completely and continues on their footsteps still, then I Call Shenanigans. Dump their ass.

The Universe’s Idea of a Sick Joke..

Love is Toxic and I’m Addicted.

How is it that every time you either try to move on with your life or date a new guy, all the boys you have ever known who have messed you up in some way or the other, come rushing back?

After he cheated on me with me best friend, I still couldn’t make myself to move on from him. And I think I had a justified reason for it. I shared many firsts with him (sex not being one of them though, he wasn’t really that good in that sphere). But he was my first real boyfriend. All other guys before him were just people who i was crushing on for a long time or people I had agreed to go out with solely because of the sheer excitement about the fact that they had shown an interest in me and showered me with a few compliments. Can you not judge so much? I was really young. Anyway, he was the first real boyfriend I had and one year is not a short span of time. So naturally, I was devastated. It took me about 4 months to barely even look at another guy. And by the time i even thought of moving on, I had managed to develop so many insecurities that i couldn’t talk to a guy without thinking he has some hidden agenda to hurt me. All this time, all i kept dreaming about at the back of my mind was that he would see that i’m hurting and would come back to me. But he didn’t.

Then when one day I finally found the courage to talk to a guy who had been texting me and asking me to go out with him, my ex calls me that day. I sometimes feel that this is the Universe’s idea of a sick joke or something. I spent one entire year begging and praying for one phone call or one message but all in vain. And on the exact same day when I’ve agreed to go out with another guy, my ex decides to call me??? So I pick up the phone only to find him crying on the other end. When i ask him why he was crying, he tells me he still loves me and misses me and wants me back.

I mean come onnnnn!!! For the love of God, I literally managed to get over you like 5 seconds ago and I’m finally going on a date with this really cute guy that I like. Why do you have to barge into my life right now? But, due to this one tiny call, all the feelings that I had put inside a box and locked it and buried it into a far corner of my subconscious came rushing back so fast, it made it hard to process any rational thought. And before I knew what I was doing or before I could stop myself, I found myself at his doorstep. I talked to him for hours, consoling him and telling him that I’m not going anywhere.

I told the new guy that I had to take a raincheck and that we’d have to reschedule somewhere within next week. But to my not-so-surprise, all throughout next week, it was either running into some guy who I had always had a crush on, or a different ex asking me to meet up or hookup which made it impossible to focus on this new guy.

Every time I try to go out with a new guy or decide that I’m finally gonna stay away from all guys from now on, every single boy I have ever known manages to claw his way back into my life.

Love is Toxic.
